Tanzania head bans reproductive health services

Tanzania President John Magufuli has publicly cautioned Tanzanians from using contraceptives, saying people going for family planning options were “lazy”, and avoid the responsibility of feeding their children.

The saying was quickly followed by a ban by the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children in Tanzania of all family planning advertisements on radio and television pending further notice.
